Iain Robertson
Iain Robertson was born in Nicosia, Cyprus in 1955. He grew up in Edinburgh and studied painting in Carlisle and Exeter between 1978 and 1982. In 1999 he relocated to St Ives where he currently lives and works. He has held numerous solo exhibitions in England and Scotland as well as at Galerie Moderne in Silkeborg, Denmark, where he has also recently been included in many group exhibitions. His painting, that typically combines gestural abstraction and engimatic, powerfully present signs, is represented in public and private collection internationally.
